Welcome to SharpMom!

Hi! I’m glad you stopped by. My name is Marianne, and I’m a mom of four wonderful (and wonderfully hectic!) children. You know, there was a time when I could fit my whole world into a small stroller. Now, it expands across two countries, 4 states, first jobs, first homes, and lots of life firsts that don’t involve diapers or baby food.

SharpMom was born out of my own roller coaster ride of motherhood. It began in an era of cloth diapers and organic cotton onesies. My husband and I went all-in for our first two children, from making homemade organic purees to buying only sustainably sourced baby clothing.

But life has a funny way of shaking things up. When kids three and four came along, the pace of life shifted from a brisk jog to an all-out sprint. Cloth diapers? Those quickly became a memory, replaced by the convenience of disposables. Homemade purees? Those got swapped out for whatever was handiest in the organic section of the grocery store.

As time marched on, my kids grew, and the challenges of parenting changed. The baby and toddler years gave way to the whirlwind of school-age activities and pre-teen drama, and then seemingly overnight, they were young adults, navigating the world on their own.

And guess what? I found myself navigating new waters too. How do you support your kids when they’re adults? What does it look like to be a parent to grown-ups? This new chapter had its own set of questions, challenges, and joys. And that’s what sparked the creation of SharpMom.com.

Here on SharpMom, you’ll find a mix of practical advice, personal stories, shared triumphs, and even a few mom-fail moments (we’ve all had them!). From the struggles of making it through those early years to the unique challenges and rewards of being a parent to adults, it’s all here. It’s real, it’s raw, and it’s all about riding the beautiful wave of motherhood.

Most importantly, SharpMom is a community. A place to connect, to share, and to learn from each other. Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that we’re stronger together. And in this wild journey of motherhood, we need all the strength we can get!

So welcome to the family. I’m thrilled to have you here and can’t wait to get to know you. Let’s navigate this incredible, challenging, rewarding journey of motherhood together.

With warmth and love,
